Can I borrow books from other schools or libraries?

Answer

Yes, students and faculty may visit many of the academic libraries in the Baltimore area and borrow materials directly from them. Be sure to bring your Goucher ID with you.

Alternatively, the library can request to borrow materials on your behalf through the free Interlibrary Loan (ILL) program. Simply search for the book or article in our catalog and click the "request" button to initiate the process.

Note:

Direct borrowing of materials from Johns Hopkins University is limited to faculty members only.

Due to licensing terms with publishers, libraries tend not to fill ILL requests for eBooks.

To support their local patrons, libraries tend not to fill ILL requests for recently published books and textbooks.
