Frequently Asked Questions: borrowing, checking out materials, ILL

Thank you for using the Interlibrary Loan Service.  You will receive an email informing you when your item becomes available and how you may access or retrieve it.  Books and other physical items are held at the library for patrons to pick up.  Patrons who affiliate as Distance Education students may request to have items mailed to an off campus US address.  Articles and book chapters are delivered electronically via a secure link and password.

Students:

Students can pick up their materials at the Library Service Desk in the Learning Commons. Please present your ID card to the desk attendant and let them know that you are picking up an Interlibrary Loan item.

Distance Education students may request for ILL items to be mailed to a physical address.  When submitting an Interlibrary Loan request, please use the comment field on the form to indicate that you are a Distance Education patron and include your mailing address.  We will enclose a prepaid shipping label for you to return the item to Goucher.  This service is limited to U.S. addresses only.

Faculty and Staff:

Books and other physical materials are held at the Library Service Desk in the Learning Commons.
