eScholarship@Goucher is an institutional repository based on the open access DSpace software that enables Goucher College Library to collect and preserve Goucher College’s scholarly output. eScholarship@Goucher is part of MD-SOAR, a state-wide institutional repository platform.

 

Purpose of eScholarship@Goucher

  • Support scholarship - Use eScholarship@Goucher to share your work globally. All content in eScholarship@Goucher is indexed in Google and Google Scholar and will receive a permanent link to its location on the Internet.
  • Open Access Publishing - eScholarship@Goucher provides free access to scholarly output of the Goucher College community. Open access increases the visibility of an author’s works, enhances interdisciplinary research, and accelerates the pace of research, discovery, and innovation.
  • Preservation - Depositing material with eScholarship@Goucher ensures the long-term preservation of your research products. The repository is backed up nightly and conforms to digital preservation standards. Each item gets a permanent link that will always point to the item or its metadata.
