How do I access The Chronicle of Higher Education?

Answer

On-campus Access

Go to chronicle.com. You may be prompted to enter your Goucher username and password.

Off-campus Access

1. Access through the library website

Access The Chronicle from our Databases list on the library homepage.

If you are unable to access a particular article:

  1. Check that you are logged in through the Goucher Library. Look in the upper left corner of the screen for "Premium access provided by Goucher College." (see image below)
  2. If you do not see this message, go to the Databases list
    1. Scroll down to The Chronicle (under "C") and access The Chronicle from there. You may be prompted to enter your Goucher username and password.

2. Access through a personal account

Create a personal account with The Chronicle to easily access content available through Goucher.

  1. Go to chronicle.com
  2. Click "Log In" in the upper right corner.
  3. Scroll down to "Create and Account"
  4. Create the account using your Goucher email address.
  5. The Chronicle will send you a confirmation email. Once confirmed, you will be able to access the content.

By using a Goucher email address you will automatically be able to access Chronicle articles when logging in.
