How do I link Goucher library to Google Scholar?

There are two ways to use Google Scholar to find materials available through Goucher College Library.
Option 1: Access Google Scholar through the Goucher College Library.
- Start at: Goucher College Library website
- Click Databases
- Click G in the A-Z list
- Scroll down to click Google Scholar.
- This is a special link to Google Scholar that automatically allows Google Scholar to match materials in Google Scholar to those available through the Goucher College Library.
- Search keywords or a specific material.
- When you find something you would like to access, use the links on the right side of the screen to Full text@Goucher Library or other available links to PDFs or HTML pages.
- If you do not see these links, then the material is not available through Goucher or for free on the web. Request the material through Interlibrary Loan.
Option 2: Connect Google Scholar to Goucher Library
Why? By connecting your Google account to the library, you can automatically access library resources from off campus.
- From Google Scholar, select the three-bar menu icon.
- Look for the “Settings” link or gear icon and select.
- Select “Library Links.
- Search for Goucher in the search box.
- Check the boxes for all Goucher College options.
- Select “Save.”
- Return to the main Google Scholar page and search keywords or a specific material.
- When you find something you would like to access, use the links on the right side of the screen to Full text@Goucher Library or other available links to PDFs or HTML pages.
- If you do not see these links, then the material is not available through Goucher or for free on the web. Request the material through Interlibrary Loan.
